This is the logo for my ‘Writer on the Road’ interviews…like it?? Our book touring schedule is Townsville in July/July, 2016, Bateman’s Bay for the Bateman’s Bay Writers Festival in September, 2016, and our biggie, a two month trip across the Nullabor to the wilds of Western Australia and Norseman to launch Money, Murder and Other Men’s Wives, starting December, 2016. Note the interesting correlation between these dates and school holidays. That’s the trouble with teaching, it limits my playtime:)

It’s thirty something degrees today and we decided to go for a swim at the local dam, Carcoar Dam for those that know the Bathurst/Orange area of NSW.

What we didn’t count on was people wanting to buy our books – and our writing courses.

The problem was our vehicle.

And me.

Before I launch my online writing courses I read that I needed three of ’em and so I’ve waited.

And procrastinated.

And missed an opportunity  to upscale my business, damn it!!

A lady named Darlene is heading around Australia with her hubby and three kids.

And they all wanna write.

And they saw my vehicle.

Every new year brings good intentions and great ambitions. This year, it’s eight novels, equalling 480,000 words, with the grand title of Project Romance: Around Australia in 8 Romances.

With such an ambitious project, I’ve invested in a few tools to help me. One is Joel Friedlander’s Book Planner which will help keep my book publishing schedule on track. The other is Joanna Penn’s Creative Freedom Course,

Historic Carcoar offers everything this writer could possibly want to inspire productivity – historic buildings, heritage rose gardens and solitude – so much so that I think this is the ideal location to hold a writer’s retreat during the cosy winter months that only the Bathurst/Orange area with its villages, fine food and wines, and romantic weather can offer (think log fires, foggy mornings and crisp, clear days).

Anyone interested in log fires, devonshire teas and uninterrupted time to write?

I’ve found the ideal location at an old nunnery attached to the local catholic church.
